Girls Athlete of the Week: Caitlin Bach, North Carroll, basketball

The senior scored 29 points in Wednesday's win over Brunswick, breaking the all-time Carroll County girls basketball scoring record of 1,514, set by South Carroll's Melanee Wagener in 1988. Bach added 20 points in Friday's 48-39 win over Winters Mill to boost her career total to 1,536, the school record for girls and boys. The 5-foot-11 forward also grabbed 26 rebounds last week to bring her career total to 991. Bach is an Amateur Athletic Union veteran who has a 3.75 unweighted grade-point average and plans to play in college, likely in Division III.
