The Orioles will raise money at their annual FanFest today to support the Haitian earthquake relief effort. Money will be collected through a portion of FanFest admission fees, proceeds from a silent auction of Orioles items and the team's memorabilia sale and through other donations. The Orioles will match the donations. Fans may also donate by sending checks to the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation, with "Haiti Relief" in the memo line, Baltimore Orioles Haiti Relief, 333 W. Camden St., Baltimore, 21201. FanFest is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 14 and under and adults over 55.

NFL: The Washington Redskins hired Sean McVay as an offensive assistant on new coach Mike Shanahan's staff. McVay worked for new Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett last year with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League. The Redskins also formally announced Friday that Steve Jackson will remain with the team as safeties coach. Jackson has been on the Redskins' staff since 2004.

Indoor football: Single-game and season-ticket packages for the Mariners of the American Indoor Football Association are on sale. The team plays its home games at 1st Mariner Arena. Single-game tickets range from $7.50 to $25 and may be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, and the 1st Mariner Arena box office located at 201 W. Baltimore St. Season-ticket packages cost between $49 and $161 and may be purchased by calling 410-347-2006. The Mariners start their seven-game home schedule March 14 against the New Jersey Revolution.
