Officiating crew for Ravens-Colts hasn't called many pass-interference penalties

Baltimore Sun

The Ravens are likely catching another break in regard to the officials for tonight's playoff game at Indianapolis.

Carl Cheffers' crew has called the smallest number of pass-interference penalties in the NFL this season.

That group threw five flags for pass interference in 15 regular-season games.

That could be an important part of the game for the Ravens, who might have to defend 30 to 35 passes from Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.

In fact, Cheffers' crew has called the fifth-fewest penalties this season (180).

The most popular penalty with this group is holding (40 times).
