Ravens vs. Colts: Mike Preston's matchups to watch

Baltimore Sun

Ravens DTs Haloti Ngata and Kelly Gregg vs. Colts C Jeff SaturdayAt different points in the game, Ngata or Gregg will line up over Saturday. Both defensive tackles appear close to 100 percent healthy, and they are two of the best run-stoppers in the NFL. Ngata has more bulk and explosion, and Gregg is stronger and has better technique. Saturday is one of the better centers in the league. He has quick feet and can make blocks into the second level. Saturday is excellent at pass protection, but he'll struggle in run-blocking against the Ravens. Edge: Even

Ravens safeties Dawan Landry and Ed Reed vs. Colts TE Dallas ClarkAfter quarterback Peyton Manning, Clark might be the most integral part of the Colts' passing attack. Clark is good at running crossing routes in the short-to-intermediate range, but he also can work the deep middle of the field. Landry will draw Clark a lot in the middle of the field, but Reed will cover him the most in the deep third. Look for Reed to try to gamble on a couple of Manning's passes across the middle to Clark. Edge: Even

Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth vs. Colts WR Reggie WayneFoxworth played a great game Sunday against the Patriots. He was strong in run support and didn't allow any big plays to receiver Randy Moss. Moss, though, didn't play hard all the time. Wayne can do it all. Manning will take some shots to Wayne down the field, and that could be the difference in the game. Edge: Wayne
