Outlook: The Blast saw its four-game winning streak end New Year's Eve in Milwaukee, where the Wave (4-2) got an overtime goal from Marco Terminesi in a 12-10 win. The teams share first place in the Major Indoor Soccer League. Tonight, Monterrey brings plenty of firepower for the Blast to contend with at 1st Mariner Arena. Veteran D Genoni Martinez leads the league in scoring with 23 points, while former Blast standout Carlos "Chile" Farias is not far behind with 17. In the teams' first meeting in Monterrey, the Blast won, 14-13, behind a three-goal, one-assist performance by Lucio Gonzaga. This game will be the first of two on back-to-back nights for the Blast, which will host the Wave at 7:35 p.m. Saturday. Blast starting G Sagu has missed the past two games with a thumb injury but has practiced all week and could be back. If not, backup Dave Kern would get his third start of the season.
