The 5-foot-10 junior forward-guard averaged 22.3 points and 10.7 rebounds in leading the No. 12 Eagles to the tournament championship at the Hilton Head Resort Classic in South Carolina. After scoring 30 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the Dec. 21 title game, a 73-52 win over Wando from Columbia, S.C., Hendricks was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. In the final, she shot 11-for-14 from the field and 8-for-10 from the free-throw line. Last summer, Hendricks played Amateur Athletic Union basketball for the Maryland Shooting Stars and went to the 15-and-under nationals with the Lady Tigers. She also throws the shot put and discus for the Eagles' track and field team and has a 3.6 grade-point average.
