Johns Hopkins running back Kase earns All-America honor

Johns Hopkins senior running Andrew Kase, who led the Blue Jays to a 10-3 record, the Centennial Conference championship and a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals, has been named a third-team d3football.com All-American. Johns Hopkins finished No. 8 in the final AFCA Poll and 11th in the final d3football.com poll.

College basketball: UMES junior Kevin White was named the school's Athlete of the Week. White, a guard, scored a career-high 16 points in an 87-46 loss to Wright State on Saturday in Dayton, Ohio.

Memorabilia: Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards announced that it will unveil a new gallery today titled "Treasures From Our Attic." The exhibit will contain never-before-displayed artifacts from some of the top sports moments and athletes in Maryland history. Items on display will include: Dorothy Hamill's skates and dress from her 1976 Olympic gold medal triumph; Jim McKay's Emmy Award for his coverage of the 1972 Olympic tragedy in Munich; U.S. & Cuban flags from the game in 1999 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards between the Orioles and the Cuban national team; Len Bias' University of Maryland men's basketball warm-up jacket from 1985 (the year he earned his first ACC Player of the Year honor); a silver tea set Johnny Unitas received for winning the 1959 NFL championship with the Baltimore Colts; Carmelo Anthony's NCAA basketball national championship ring (with Syracuse in 2003); and Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long's 2006 Sullivan Award.
