Girl Athlete of the Week

The junior forward scored four goals and added one assist to lead the No. 13 Mavericks (12-1-1) to two wins last week, including a 4-1 win over No. 14 Liberty on Oct. 14 to clinch a share of the Carroll County title with No. 5 Century. After Liberty tied the game 1-1 early in the second half, Colson scored 30 seconds later and later added another goal. She finished with two goals and one assist in the 3-1 win. The win gave Manchester Valley its first piece of the county title in the program's sixth season. On Thursday, Colson scored both goals for the Mavericks in a 2-0 win over Middletown.
