The freshman pitched every inning and batted .875 in leading the Vikings (13-6) to three wins last week, including a 5-3 upset of defending state champion Eastern Tech, en route to the Class 2A North regional championship. Against Eastern Tech, which had won 43 straight games and hammered the Viking 16-0 in the season opener, Goodman scattered six hits and allowed one earned run while going 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run over the right-field fence and two RBIs. She also earned wins over Dunbar, 15-0, and Loch Raven, 6-3, striking out 12, walking three and giving up just three earned runs. She was 7-for-8 batting with seven RBIs and three extra-base hits. A veteran of the Catonsville Chaos club program, Goodman has pitched every inning of the Vikings season. She also played volleyball for Lansdowne and has a 4.0 GPA.
