The victory avenged the only loss from last season for the Carroll County champion Mavericks, the defending Class 2A-1A state champions. She scored or assisted on five of the first six goals to spark her team to a 9-5 halftime lead. Little, who was 7-for-8 shooting against Roland Park, is second on her team in points (63), goals (41) and assists. An honor roll student who also plays soccer for Manchester Valley, Little has signed with High Point to play lacrosse.
