The sophomore pitcher led the No. 3 Lions (14-2) to four victories last week as they remained in first place in Carroll County.
Trail went 4-0 on the mound, allowing just three earned runs and striking out 44 batters. Her opponents batted only .131 and drew just four walks. She also batted .500. In a 5-0 win over Westminster, she had 16 strikeouts and gave up four hits. In a 6-3 win over Century, she struck out 10. She struck out seven in an 11-1 win over Francis Scott Key. She finished the week with a second win over Westminster, 8-1, with 11 strikeouts. Trail is 12-1 with a 1.12 ERA with 157 strikeouts in 92 1/3 innings. She is also batting .464. Trail, who has a 3.74 GPA, is a three-year veteran of the Catonsville Chaos Prospects Cimerola club team and has played with her Lions catcher Meghan Jacobs for eight years.
