The senior midfielder scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead the No. 13 Indians (10-3) to a thrilling 7-6 win over Hereford to capture the Baltimore County championship at Franklin on Saturday. It was the second goal of the game for Weinstein, who raced 30 yards before beating a defender and then the clock as time was about to expire in the first four-minute overtime period. Franklin's win ended a six-year run as county champions for Hereford. Weinstein finished the game with two goals and won 10 of 16 faceoffs. Set to play at Florida Tech, he has 28 goals, 17 assists and has won 81 percent of the faceoffs he's taken this spring. Weinstein, who maintains a 4.26 grade point average, is a three-year varsity player and two-year captain. Weinstein also was a standout soccer player, leading the team in scoring this year.
