The senior first baseman, a three-year starter, had an excellent week at the plate as Friends went 3-2 in five games to improve to 8-6 on the season.
Loewenberg, who is set to play at Washington & Lee, collected eight hits in 10 at-bats, also drawing five walks as Friends earned wins against Annapolis Area Christian, Glenelg Country and Concordia Prep. In Wednesday's 13-7 win over Glenelg Country, Loewenberg did his most impressive work, going 3-for-3 with two walks, while driving in five runs. He also was perfect at the plate in a 5-3 win over Annapolis Area Christian the day before, getting two hits and a walk with two RBIs.
This season, Lowenberg is batting .525 with seven doubles, one home run, 22 RBIs and 15 runs scored. An honor roll student, he also played soccer and basketball at the junior varsity level at Friends.
