In her first college game Saturday, Lasota scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the No. 8 Wildcats rallied from seven goals down to beat USC, 12-11, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. USC appeared headed for a major upset with a 7-0 start, but Lasota played a critical role in the comeback. She led the Wildcats with four goals and two assists. Her final goal, 53 seconds into the six-minute overtime period, gave Northwestern its first lead of the game. Lasota, who grew up playing box lacrosse, is a member of Canada's Under-19 national team.
