Berman has the rare distinction of winning a state championship as both a player, in 2001 at Towson, and as a coach, in 2010 with the Generals.

She leaves the school with a career record of 168-28, including seven trips to the state tournament in a 10-year career.

This year's team, ranked No. 8, fell to No. 4 Westminster in the Class 3A state semifinals Tuesday night in College Park.
