State women: Fading late, Loyola falls to Army in OT

Loyola Maryland shooters went cold over the final 2:53 of overtime as host Army outscored them 11-0 and won, 56-45, Saturday.
The loss marks the second time this season that the Greyhounds (5-16, 2-8 Patriot League) forced overtime but lost to the Black Knights (16-5, 8-2). Loyola lost to Army, 66-62, on Jan. 5.
Lafayette 70, Navy 69: The host Mids (17-4, 9-1 Patriot) led by Jade Geif with 20 points, were outscored by one in the first half before matching the Leopards (11-10, 5-5) point for point in the second half.
Maine 61, UMBC 48: Sara Tarbert had a game-high 22 points for the host Retrievers (2-18, 1-7 America East) in their eighth straight loss, all against league opponents.
The Black Bears (10-11, 4-4) made 14 of 41 3-point attempts and were led by Liz Wood with 15 points.
Baptist Bible 57, Notre Dame Maryland 9: Stephanie Miller had four points and the host Gators (1-19, 1-11 Colonial States Athletic Conference) lost their seventh straight, falling to the Defenders (2-13, 2-9).
