State women: McTiller gives Tigers edge over GW, 68-67

Tanisha McTiller hit a free throw with two seconds left to give visiting Towson (3-5) a 68-67 road win over George Washington (4-4).

McTiller was fouled with two seconds to play and made her second attempt.


VCU 75, UMBC 55: The visiting Rams outscored the Retrievers (1-8) 42-19 in the first half for a blowout win.

Mount St. Mary's 65, Loyola 59: Kara Marshall shot a career-high 6-for-9 from behind the arc, contributing 24 points for the second game in a row as the Greyhounds (2-6) fell to the Mountaineers (3-6).

Coppin State 80, Delaware State 75: The Hornets (3-4, 0-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) led early, but the visiting Eagles (4-4, 1-0) outscored Delaware State by 11 in the second half to win.

Old Dominion 82, UMES 57: The visiting Hawks (3-5) kept the game close until a second-half run by the Monarchs (5-4) put the game out of reach.

Fairfield 75, Morgan State 46: Tracey Carrington had 20 points but the Bears (1-5) fell to the Stags (4-3) in the Brown Classic.

Bowie State 64, Queens 50: Ashley Castle and Denver Clyde each had a game-high 13 points and the Bulldogs (4-1) scored the first 16 points in the second half to beat the Knights (5-3).

Johns Hopkins 65, Muhlenberg 58: Fatu Conteh had a team-high 11 points as the visiting Blue Jays (7-2, 6-0 Centennial Conference) beat the Mules (4-3, 2-2).

Lycoming 65, Hood 62: Rachel Wiley scored 18 points for the Blazers (1-4, 0-2 Commonwealth Conference), but it was not enough as the visiting Warriors (3-3, 2-1) scored the final seven points to win.


Stevenson 74, Arcadia 49: Kyarra Harmon had 19 points, Kayla Kelly recorded a double double and the visiting Mustangs (4-3, 3-0 MEAC) outscored the Knights 44-19 in the second half.

Ursinus 82, McDaniel 79, OT: The host Bears (4-3, 3-2 Centennial Conference) hit a runner in the lane to force overtime before prevailing in the extra session to beat the Green Terror (5-3, 2-2).

Gettysburg 52, Washington College 44: Caroline Murphy's 15 points and 14 rebounds helped the host Bullets (5-2, 3-2 Centennial Conference) beat the visiting Shorewomen (2-5, 1-3).

St. Mary's 64, Penn State-Harrisburg 62: Sophie Pruden made a game-winning layup as time expired to lead the visiting Seahawks (1-5, 1-1 Capital Athletic Conference) over the Lions (3-5, 0-2).

Frostburg State 76, Wesley 62: Eliana Hummel had a game-high 25 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead the Bobcats (2-4, 1-1 Capital Athletic Conference) over the Wolverines (0-6, 0-3).

Keystone 87, Notre Dame 37: Jazmyn Robinson had a triple double to lead the Giants (5-1, 3-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference) over the Gators (0-7, 0-3).


Goucher 43, Merchant Marine 42: Monique Welch (Franklin) had 19 points to lift the host Bears (4-3, 1-0 Landmark Conference) over the Mariners (1-3, 0-1).
