State basketball: Layup lifts Bowie men over Holy Family, 70-69

Ray Gatling made a layup with 4.7 seconds left to lift visiting Bowie State over Holy Family, 70-69, on Thursday night.

Gatling led the Bulldogs (2-3) with 16 points in the come-from-behind victory over the Tigers (3-3). David Golladay had a career-high 13 points for Bowie.

Mount Aloysius 98, Frostburg State 76: The visiting Bobcats (0-3) were led by Jabari Kamau with 23 points.

Hood 83, Gallaudet 56: Cameron Cook (Calvert Hall) had 25 points to power the host Blazers (2-1) past the Bison (0-3).


Bowie State 68, Washington Adventist 56: Denver Clyde scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Bulldogs (2-0) past the host Shock (2-3).

Hood 83, Gallaudet 69: The host Blazers (1-2), led by Allie Appleby (C. Milton Wright) with 18 points, led 47-36 at halftime.

Salisbury 63, Stevenson 45: The visiting Sea Gulls (2-2) took advantage of 11unforced turnovers in the first half and went on to beat the host Mustangs (0-3) behind 20 points from Anna Hackett.
