Have you ever wanted to watch an NBA Hall of Famer battle a casino owner in a free throw competition?

If so (but don't lie, you've probably never thought about it), you're in luck.

Shaquille O'Neal will be in Hanover on Thursday evening to do just that against Live! Casino owner David Cordish.

The duo will take the casino floor at 7:30 p.m. and begin their duel for professional-basketball-turned-gambling-stunt supremacy around 7:45 p.m.

At first glance, O'Neal has an obvious advantage.

Aside from having 20 seasons of NBA experience and a 7-foot-1, 325-pound stature, he likely has confidence facing a 77-year-old better known for his Baltimore-based real estate and entertainment company than sinking foul shots.

But don't count Cordish out.

O'Neal made just 52.7 percent of his career free throws, and his dominance in the frontcourt won't help his cause in the one-on-one clash from the charity stripe.

So, Thursday's event should be competitive -- at least in smack talk.
