Maryland to offer three free fishing days; DNR releases details on Maryland Fishing Challenge

Maryland will offer three free fishing days — Saturday, June 13 and July 4. No license, trout stamp or saltwater angler registration is required to recreationally fish in state waters on these days.

Maryland also features 23 license-free fishing areas, where anglers can fish without a license throughout the year. Except for Gambrill Park Pond, a free Maryland saltwater angler registration is required to fish in these areas, except on free fishing days.
