Women's trap shoot

Saturday, Nov. 7: The Old Post Rifle and Pistol Club will sponsor a Women's Trap Shoot Day and Shotgun clinic from noon to 4 p.m. at 11518 Marriottsville Road in Marriottsville Road. There is a $50 donation, which all goes to the Ulman Cancer Fund. Information: associatedgunclubs.org.

Nov. 9: The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's John Page Williams will talk about "Oysters: The Coral Reef of the Chesapeake Bay" at the Pasadena Sportfishing Group's meeting at Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company, 161 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park.

Fisheries talk

Nov. 10: Marty Gary, executive secretary of the Potomac River Fisheries Commission, will speak to the Northwest Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association at 7:30 p.m. at the Patapsco Council No. 1960 Knights of Columbus Hall at 1010 Frederick Road in Catonsville. He'll present a wrap-up of the fishing season and will discuss the upcoming Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission meeting. Please use the Beaumont Avenue (side) entrance.
