Redfish, tarpon talk

Game hen charity trap shoot

April 21: The Carroll County Gun Club will host a game hen charity trap shoot from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 129 Liberty Road, Eldersburg. Proceeds will go toward selected Marine Corps League charities. Entry fee of $22 includes a round of trap (25 clay pigeons), a box of 25 12-gauge shells, shotgun and accessories (if needed), a clinic and a safety review. Amanda Hichkad walk

May 12: More than 1,500 walkers are expected to participate in the fifth annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk starting at 8 a.m. at John Carroll, 703 E. Churchville Road in Bel Air. Money raised will support Cancer LifeNet, a free nurse navigation and supportive care program offered to cancer patients and their loved ones in Harford and Cecil counties, regardless of where they receive their cancer treatment.
