Nov. 3: Fish4-A Cure wraps up the striped bass and white perch season with an event in Annapolis that benefits the DeCesaris Cancer Institute at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Details: fishforacure.org.

Shad and herring
Nov. 7: Free State Fly Fishers meeting. Guest speaker is DNR biologist Ashlee Horne, who will discuss “Patapsco River Shad and Herring Restoration.” 7 p.m. at Davidsonville Family Recreation Center (behind Ford Hall), 3789 Queen Anne Bridge Road, Davidsonville.
