The Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse team was shut out of the first- and second-team all-conference honors from the Northeast Conference, but the program did put three freshmen on the All-Rookie team: midfielder Henry Berg, defenseman Bryan McIntosh and faceoff specialist Sam Stephan.
Berg led the Mountaineers' freshman class in scoring with seven goals and 11 assists. In addition to finishing tied for second on the team in assists with sophomore midfielder Matt Haggerty, he picked up 15 ground balls.
McIntosh started all 14 games on close defense and had 40 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. His caused turnovers total ranked second on the team, and he had the third-most ground balls.
Stephan emerged as the primary faceoff specialist for Mount St. Mary's, winning 55.1 percent (188 of 341) of his draws and adding three goals and one assist. His team-best 116 ground balls ranked as the third-highest in a season in the program's Division I history.
