Dariel Alvarez continues to wield a scorching bat at Triple-A.

Triple-A Norfolk

Outfielder Dariel Alvarez continued his smoldering June this week with a run of four-straight multi-hit games from Sunday through Wednesday, and took an eight-game hitting streak into the weekend. Alvarez's 1.055 OPS in his first 22 games of June was the best in the International League this month and third-best in all of Triple-A. Alvarez played in the All-Star Futures Game in 2014. This year, the Orioles' lone entrant is his teammate, Zach Davies.

Double-A Bowie

The Orioles' return for outfielder Alejandro De Aza has been a big boost for Bowie. Right-hander Joe Gunkel has made four starts for the Baysox, going seven innings in each of his past three outings and allowing five total earned runs in 27 innings, good for a 1.67 ERA with Bowie. He took a no-decision Thursday, but didn't throw a pitch with a runner on base — the only two hits he allowed were home runs.

High-A Frederick

Center fielder Josh Hart, the Orioles' supplemental first-round draft pick in 2013, raised his batting average 45 points in June, from .233 to a team-leading .278 entering Friday's game at Salem. Hart hit his first home run of the season on June 19, and collected his first triple of the season Thursday. He batted .321/.333/.436 with six extra-base hits, six steals and seven RBIs in his first 20 games in June.

Low-A Delmarva

Second baseman Steve Wilkerson started and hit a two-run home run for the North team in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game Tuesday in Asheville, N.C. Wilkerson, a 2014 eighth-round draft pick out of Clemson, represented Delmarva along with reliever Garrett Cortright and outfielder Conor Bierfeldt. Wilkerson entered Friday without a regular-season home run, but ranked among Shorebirds leaders with a .293 average.

Short-season Single-A Aberdeen

Outfielder Cedric Mullins, selected in the 13th round of the 2015 draft, had hits in five of his first six games with the IronBirds, who opened play on June 19. … Cuban left-hander Ariel Miranda struck out six in three scoreless, one-hit innings Monday in his American debut for the Gulf Coast League Orioles. … Korean left-hander Jeong-Hyeon Yoon completed four scoreless innings in his first GCL outing.
