Three days after Loyola Maryland’s Pat Spencer tied Albany’s Connor Fields’ 2018 single-game Division I high of 12 points, both were passed by Cheek. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Cheek accumulated five goals and eight assists in the Crimson’s 19-18 overtime win against Boston University on March 20. The 13 points set a program record, overtaking the mark of 12 shared by Devin Dwyer (Class of 2016) and Mike Eckert (1996), and the eight assists tie the season high posted by Spencer against Navy on March 17. Cheek followed up that showing with a game-best five points on one goal and four assists in Harvard’s 10-8 victory over Ivy League foe Dartmouth on Saturday. He is tied for third in the country in assists with 28.
