Kelly Peterson scored 16 points, including 11 in the second half, to help guide the Lehigh women's basketball team past visiting Loyola, 70-60, on Monday.
Although the Greyhounds (3-4) shot 18-for-21 from the free-throw line, they could not overcome their struggles from the field (18-for-58).
Guard Miriam McKenzie led Loyola with 15 points.
Lehigh (4-6) started fast, jumping out to a 16-4 lead, and held a 35-23 lead at the half.
The slow start was too much for the Greyhounds, who never led and who never got within single digits in the second half.
Mount St. Mary's 70, St. Francis (N.Y.) 48: Sydney Henderson scored 18 points for the Mountaineers (4-4, 2-0 Northeast Conference), whose defense forced 25 turnovers on their way to topping the visiting Terriers (1-7, 0-2).
Leading 30-22 at the half, the Mountaineers took control with a 10-2 run to start the second half and help put the game out of reach.
Hood 63, Goucher 58: Rachel Wiley (15 points and 16 rebounds) and Emily Maerz (14, 11) both had doubledoubles to lead the Blazers (1-6) over the host Gophers (1-6).
Sophomore guard-forward Sharnell Huff had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Blazers.
Johns Hopkins 58, McDaniel 51: The Blue Jays (7-1) took advantage of an 18-3 scoring advantage at the free-throw line on their way to downing visiting Green Terror (5-3).
Chantel Mattiola scored 20 points to lead Johns Hopkins.

Coppin State 53, Rio Grande 50: Michael Harper scored 14 points to help the visiting Eagles (3-4) hold on for a victory over the Red Storm (4-5).
Harper preserved the win by blocking a 3-point attempt as time expired.
