For the first time since having his International Boxing Federation junior-lightweight title stripped, Baltimore native Gervonta Davis will be back in the boxing ring on April 21.
Showtime announced that Davis, 23, will fight in the co-feature of that night’s card at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, headlined by Adrien Broner vs. Omar Figueroa Jr.. No further details were announced.
Davis’ opponent has yet to be determined.
It will be Davis’ first fight since Aug. 26, when his IBF title was vacated because he didn’t make weight before taking on Francisco Fonseca. Davis still improved to 19-0 with an eighth-round knockout of Fonseca on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor match.
