No. 14 Maryland cruised past host Coppin State, 110-51, in women's basketball on Sunday, with six Terps scoring in double figures in their final nonconference game. Junior Brene Moseley led Maryland with 18 points, eight assists and three steals. Sophomore Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 17 points, four assists and three steals. Freshman Kiara Leslie scored 13, sophomore Brionna Jones (Aberdeen) and redshirt freshman A'Lexus Harrison (Digital Harbor) had 12 each, and senior Laurin Mincy scored 10. Junior Amber Griffin led Coppin State (1-9) with 10 points. "It's important to us to continue to play the way we want to play and to set the bar really high," coach Brenda Frese said. "For us, this game and our last game against American have been two complete games that are going to help us going forward." Maryland opened the game on a 7-0 run, thanks to two early buckets by Jones, and led 19-7 with just under 12 minutes left in the half. The Terps closed the half on a 38-13 run to take a 59-25 lead into the break. Maryland hit the 100-point mark for the second time this season off a layup by Harrison with 4:27 to play.

More Division I: An early 15-0 run set the tone for Navy's 71-35 victory over visiting Saint Peter's. The Peacocks (0-9) had the game's first points, but the Midshipmen (6-5) scored on six of their next eight possessions to build a commanding 15-2 advantage. Sophomore Sarita Condie had 14 points and six rebounds, both career and team highs, in the win. … Bucknell handed Mount St. Mary's its first home loss of the season, 74-49. Freshman Jessica Harris scored a team-high 12 points for the Mount (2-8), but they could not stop sophomore Claire DeBoer, who finished a perfect 8-for-8 from the field and scored a game-high 21 points for the Bison (7-3). … Freshman Braennan Farrar scored a game-high 20 points to lead four Morgan State players in double-figure scoring, but it wasn't enough as the Bears (2-10) fell to Tennessee Tech, 62-56, in the consolation game of the Chattanooga Christmas Classic. The loss to the Golden Eagles (3-9) extended Morgan State's losing skid to a season-long eight and ended the Bears' three-game winning streak over Ohio Valley Conference opponents.
