Youth baseball: The Baltimore-based Yankee Rebels won the under-19 bracket Sunday at the 5th Annual Atlantic Coast Baseball Louisville Slugger Wood Bat World Series in Washington, Pa. The Rebels entered the playoff bracket as the No. 2 seed after going 1-1-1 during pool play Friday and Saturday and beat the No. 3 seed Grand Island Vikings (N.Y.), 11-3, and the No. 1 seed Cheektowaga Thundering Herd (N.Y.), 16-2, to capture the championship. Michael Brown (Charles Herbert Flowers High) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBIs, and Conner Devlin (Bowie High) was the winning pitcher in the championship game for the Rebels.
