De'von Barnett scored 17 points to help lift Sacred Heart to a 62-55 win over host Mount St. Mary's on Thursday night.
Steve Glowiak contributed 14 points, hitting all but one of his five shots from behind the arc, and Jordan Allen added 12 points to go with 10 rebounds for the Pioneers (12-14, 6-7 Northeast Conference).
Trailing by nine midway through the second half, Sacred Heart battled back, tying the game at 41 and again at 43 before edging into the lead for good with Glowiak's 3-pointer with 7:29 left. The Mount (11-13, 7-6) cut the gap to 52-50 with Byron Ashe's layup at 5:06 before the Pioneers pulled away with 3-pointers from Glowiak and Phil Gaeano.
Gregory Graves led the Mountaineers with 14 points, while Kristijan Krajina and Ashe had 12.
Women
James Madison 79, Towson 64: Dominique Johnson scored a game-high 28 points, but the host Tigers (10-15, 6-7 Colonial Athletic Association) fell to the Dukes (21-1, 12-0).
James Madison jumped out to a 17-point halftime advantage and held off a second-half rally by Towson.
Johnson made six 3-pointers in the game, which gives her 142 total and moved her into third place on the career 3-pointers list at Towson.
