Vegas' Caesars Palace and Baltimore's Horseshoe Casino are betting on Stanley Cup finals

Since sports betting is nearly legal now, everyone’s getting in on making a friendly wager over the Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals — even famous casinos.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, represented by Caesars regional president and general manager Erin Chamberlin, and Caesars Palace Las Vegas GM Sean McBurney have placed a friendly bet on the outcome of the 2018 Stanley Cup finals. Surprisingly, the wager won’t have any money involved, despite the sheer amount of gambling that involves coin in the casinos every day.

Instead, the two casinos are betting public humiliation. If the Capitals take the Cup, McBurney will have to be photographed wearing a Caps jersey in front of Caesars Palace. If the Knights win, Chamberlin will have to wear a Vegas jersey in front of Horseshoe Baltimore.

“I came to Baltimore from Las Vegas and all I keep hearing from my friends and colleagues back home is what an incredible ride it has been for the Golden Knights this year,” Chamberlin said on WCBC Radio in Maryland. “The Capitals’ journey to the finals has been just as amazing, having overcome several detractors to get to where they are now. I have no doubt this is finally our year to hoist the cup.”
