Gervonta Davis finally has an opponent for his undercard bout on the Aug. 26 pay-per-view featuring Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor in the main event.
The Baltimore native and IBF super featherweight champion will defend his title against undefeated Costa Rican challenger Francisco Fonseca.
Since he won his championship in January, the 22-year-old Davis (18-0 with 17 knockouts) has said his eventual goal is to be a pay-per-view star. And with Mayweather and McGregor expected to draw several million buys, the young champion will have a chance to showcase his skills in front of an audience packed with casual fans.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Fonseca (19-0-1 with 13 knockouts) will face a drastic step up in competition.
