The Blast re-signed five players from last year's team and added a newcomer on Thursday to bring the roster to 15 as the team prepares for the inaugural Major Arena Soccer League season.
Returning is six-year veteran midfielder Max Ferdinand, who was second on the team with 17 goals, along with defender Mike Deasel and forwards Diego Zuniga, Levi Houapeu and Jamie Darvill. The Blast also added midfielder Jonatas Melo, a native of Brazil.
The Blast is set to begin training camp on Oct. 20.
The team will open the MASL season at home on Nov. 8 against the Syracuse Silver Knights at Royal Farms Arena.
