Freeman looked like a future star after the Buccaneers took him 17th in 2009, taking the starting job in his first season and posting a 25-to-6 TD-to-INT ratio in 2010, his first full season in the job. That campaign earned him an alternate's slot in the Pro Bowl, but Freeman regressed a bit in 2011. He rebounded to throw for 4,065 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2012, but was benched after three games by coach Greg Schiano and eventually traded to Minnesota, where he made one start. Freeman signed in the off-season with the Giants.
