Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

1. The offensive line never came together

On paper, the offensive line looked solid heading into the season. The Ravens returned four of the five linemen from a group that played great during their Super Bowl run. Alas, games are not played on paper. Left tackle Bryant McKinnie was a bust, left guard Kelechi Osemele injured his back, and center Gino Gradkowski struggled to fit inside Matt Birk's big shoes. The line as a whole also had trouble getting accustomed to the tweaks that run-game coordinator Juan Castillo made in the running game. As a result, the Ravens had the NFL's least efficient rushing attack and quarterback Joe Flacco took a beating.
