Justin Ward, Loyola attackman

In 2012, Ward racked up 12 goals and 31 assists while playing sidekick to Mike Sawyer in the regular season and then Eric Lusby in the Greyhounds' run to the national championship. Last year, the Glen Burnie native and Old Mill graduate ranked 11th in Division I in assists per game (2.2) and 19th in points (3.9), but he was named only an honorable mention All-American. This season, Ward is poised to become a household name across the lacrosse landscape. Blessed with vision and a level of unselfishness rare in today's game, Ward has a knack for finding open teammates for high-percentage shots. But the 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior is also tough enough to turn the corner and drive toward the net for his own opportunities. With Lusby and Sawyer gone, Ward should find the ball in his stick early and often. -- Edward Lee, Lacrosse/Colleges Reporter
