The South Carroll graduate scored a career-high five goals and added an assist in then-No. 14 Princeton's 10-8 upset of then-No. 11 Loyola in the season opener for both teams. Slifer scored twice in the second half, first to tie the game at 7 and then to give the host Tigers the lead for good, 9-8, on a free-position goal with 11:10 left. A first-team All-Ivy League selection last season, Slifer has 63 goals and 53 assists for the Tigers, who moved up to No. 11 this week.
