Chris Davis has greatly improved his defense at first

Davis struggled defensively at first base last season, committing four errors in 38 starts there, which prompted the Orioles to often use him as the designated hitter when they weren't trying to hide him in the outfield. This offseason, Davis resolved to get better with the mitt and focused on improving his footwork. The local talk-radio chatter about him possibly being a Gold Glover is a bit overblown, but Davis has been much improved, committing just two errors in 71 games with a .997 fielding percentage.
