Towson qualified for the Colonial Athletic Association tournament Friday night without even stepping on the field.
Hofstra's 5-4 loss at Fairfield and Massachusetts' 10-9 setback to Delaware on Friday night cemented a berth for the No. 16 Tigers (9-4 overall and 3-1 league) in the conference tournament, which opens on Thursday.
The Stags (9-5, 4-1) and Drexel (6-7, 2-2) also earned spots in the playoffs.
The Pride, which routed Towson, 9-2, on Saturday, dropped to 5-9 and 2-3. The Minutemen fell to 4-9 and 2-3, but by virtue of a 9-7 win against Hofstra on March 21, Massachusetts will play in the CAA tournament.
The seeding will be determined after the Tigers' road contest against the Dragons. If Towson wins, the team would capture the league's regular-season title, the top seed and homefield advantage throughout the conference tournament.
The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday with the times of the two games to be announced. The final is slated for Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m.
