Terps women's basketball team clinches Big Ten regular-season championship

The Maryland women's basketball team didn't have to play a game Saturday to clinch the Big Ten Conference regular-season championship.

With Ohio State's 100-82 win over No. 13 Iowa (21-6, 12-4) on Saturday night, the No. 5 Terps (24-2, 15-0) became outright champions in their inaugural season in the conference.

Maryland, the preseason favorite to win the league, locked up a share of the regular-season title and the top seed in the conference tournament by beating Wisconsin, 81-70, on Thursday night.
