Terps still No. 2, ACC holds top four spots in women's media poll

Maryland continues to hold onto the No. 2 spot in the Inside Lacrosse Brine Division I Women's Media Top 20 behind No. 1 North Carolina, the defending national champion.

Both teams are 9-0 and will meet April 5 in Chapel Hill, N.C., for a rematch of last year's title game, which North Carolina won, 13-12, in triple overtime.

Boston College continues to improve on the highest ranking in its school history, moving from No. 5 to No. 4 and giving the Atlantic Coast Conference the top four teams, with Syracuse holding onto No. 3.

The ACC has six of the Top 10 teams with Notre Dame at No. 6 and Duke at No. 10.

Johns Hopkins, off to the best start in its Division I history at 9-0, continues its rise, hopping over Northwestern and Massachusetts to No. 7.

Navy's lack of schedule strength is beginning to hurt as the Midshipmen fall from No. 11 to No. 14 despite an 8-0 record. They haven't played a ranked team while the three teams that jumped over the Mids -- No. 11 Penn, No. 12 Stanford and No. 13 Penn State -- have wins over ranked teams or teams that received votes.

Loyola's 7-6 win over Towson last week sent the teams in opposite directions as the Greyhounds moved up from No. 17 to No. 16 and the Tigers dropped from 18th to 19th.
