First and 10: Monday afternoon NFL power rankings

Because doing a full, 32-team list of power rankings is too much work for a Monday, I will rank only the top 11 teams in the NFL after each exciting football Sunday (that's where the "first and 10" comes in).

Here's the balance of power a few hours before the final game of Week 5:

1. Packers: Green Bay fell behind, 14-0, to Atlanta before scoring 25 unanswered points in another win.

2. Ravens: They spent their Sunday on the sofa, but no AFC team was impressive enough to overtake them.

3. Patriots: New England picked up a key win over the Jets, actually playing a little bit of defense for once.

4. Lions: A win over the Bears on "Monday Night Football" will show the nation that the Lions are legit.

5. Saints: They edged the Panthers by only a field goal, but a late game-winning drive earns them points.

6. Bills: The Bills are the NFL's real dream team after they added another stunning upset to their resume.

7. Chargers: Divine intervention from Tim Tebow almost took down the banged-up Chargers on Sunday.

8. Steelers: Facing adversity and a foot injury to Ben Roethlisberger, they beat the Titans by three touchdowns.

9. 49ers: San Francisco's 48-3 drubbing of Tampa Bay was the most surprising outcome of Week 4.

10. Raiders:  With three winnable games in a row at home, they could be 6-2 when they travel to San Diego.

11. Redskins: Another team on a bye week, they watched division rivals New York and Philly drop games.

Biggest rise (not on the list): The Bengals, who are surprisingly 3-2 under rookie quarterback Andy Dalton.

Biggest fall (not on the list): The Eagles, who have title-caliber talent but clearly doesn't have the focus.
