Video: Belgian goalie Sammy Bossut's epic futbol blunder

Considering there is a goal scored maybe once in every six or seven soccer games, there is nothing more embarrassing than an awful blunder from a goalkeeper.

The latest goalie goof to go viral is from Sammy Bossut, who plays for Zulte-Waregem of the Belgian Pro League, and it's a good one. After grabbing a corner kick out of the air, Bossut tried to toss the ball downfield, but somehow managed to throw it backwards and right to an opponent, who casually deposited it in the goal.

Speaking of embarrassing soccer moments, come check me out at the Baltimore Blast's annual "celebrity" game this Sunday night at 1st Mariner Arena. The unathletic spectacle takes place at halftime of the Blast's season finale against the Missouri Comets, a team I didn't know existed until right this second.

(By the way, you can find vintage YouTube video of me getting lit up by the Blast's Pat Healey two years ago if you click this link.)
