NFL fans across the country got to know Domonique Foxworth a little better when the Ravens cornerback -- who will make his comeback from an ACL tear whenever the lockout ends -- subbed in for Peter King at Monday Morning Quarterback, the popular online column King writes each week for Sports Illustrated.
Over on the Ravens Insider blog, Ken Murray said Foxworth was thoughtful and eloquent while writing about the NFL labor strife and the bigger issues of life. But here at Baltimore Sports Blitz, we're more concerned with how Foxworth feels about dudes posting shirtless photos of themselves on Twitter.
So here are four of the six things that Foxworth thought for his SI.com column, which showed NFL fans outside of Baltimore the candidness and sense of humor that make Foxworth the person so likeable:
1. I think the intensity in the Ravens-Steelers rivalry is the best in the league because of the similarities of the two cities. The tough, no excuses, blue-collar culture of each city is embodied by both teams and is never more apparent than when Baltimore and Pittsburgh compete on the field.
2. I think Baltimore should get to host a Super Bowl. If Detroit can handle the country's biggest game, then so can Charm City.
3. Hey, fellas, you should be clothed in your Twitter profile pic. Nothing is more unsettling than reading "The US economy is in shambles. We can't afford to raise the debt ceiling" while looking at greased-up abs.
4. I think cell phones have ruined pushing people into pools.
I like the way Foxworth thinks (though I hope he isn't holding his breath for that Baltimore-based Super Bowl). He's a big Howard Stern fan, too, so he gets points in my book for that one.
