The Ravens have been fixtures on national television shows since winning Super Bowl XLVII a month ago.
Wide receiver Jacoby Jones will be "Dancing with the Stars." Head coach John Harbaugh and quarterback Joe Flacco, the Super Bowl MVP, stayed up late with Dave Letterman. Free safety Ed Reed played red-carpet reporter at the Oscars for NFL Network. Wide receiver Anquan Boldin and kicker Justin Tucker even played something called "bubble soccer" with Jimmy Fallon and actor and Baltimore native Josh Charles days after the win.
But when soft-handed tight ends are critiquing fashion on TV, you know it is starting to get out of hand.
That's right, Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta will be a panelist on tonight's episode of "Fashion Police" on E! at 10 p.m. According to the team's official website, which got the details from a press release from the network, the "Fashion Police" show is doing a four-part series this month where notable athletes critique the wardrobes of other athletes, ultimately counting down the 16 most fashionable athletes of the year. Pitta is the first athlete guest.
The four-part series has been dubbed "Fash Fabness." Of course.
If you will get a kick out of watching Pitta, the preferred tight end of Terrell Suggs, on set with "Fashion Police" hosts Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos, be sure to turn in later.
And if that's not for you, I'm sure someone like reserve tight end Billy Bajema will be on a celebrity cooking show or maybe strong safety Bernard Pollard will make a cameo on "Franklin & Bash."
But if you prefer watching Pitta and other Ravens receivers and plucking touchdown passes from Flacco, you are going to have to wait until the NFL preseason kicks off sometime in August.
