Ravens say Elvis Dumervil has tendinitis, Breshad Perriman has a bruised knee

Injury updates on Elvis Dumervil, Breshad Perriman and Timmy Jernigan.

Ravens Pro Bowl outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil is dealing with tendinitis in his Achilles.

Dumervil's condition isn't regarded as serious, but he was held out of practice Friday. Dumervil led the Ravens with a franchise-record 17 sacks last season.

Meanwhile, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman has been diagnosed with a bruised knee. Perriman landed on his knee while making a catch during the Ravens' first full-team practice Thursday. He's regarded as day-to-day, according to a source. Perriman hasn't undergone a magnetic resonance imaging exam yet.

Starting defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan left practice early with trainer Mark Smith after cramping up and was dealing with hydration issues.
