On his Massachusetts Institute of Technology personal website, Ravens offensive lineman and Ph.D. candidate John Urschel notes he has the "fastest eigensolver for minimal Laplacian eigenvectors," which ... what?

Urschel is a smart, accomplished dude, an Academic All-American in college and future doctor of mathematics. It's why, on Monday, he was named the spring commencement speaker for Penn State's Eberly College of Science.

The ceremony is on May 7. I trust Urschel is smart enough to keep discussion of his research on spectral bisection of graphs and connectedness to a minimum. Unless he's also smart enough to use it as a metaphor for football and life.

Probably not, though.
