Ravens vs. Dolphins predictions

RAVENS (4-7) AT MIAMI DOLPHINS (4-7), SUNDAY, 1 p.m., CBS

Jennifer Badie
Sports Content Editor
Prediction: Ravens 28, Dolphins 17
Comment: Even though it's a short week for the Ravens, they're coming off an all-out effort against Cleveland and facing a Dolphins team that is having just as much upheaval, with the latest coach fired Monday. The Dolphins have won one of their past five. Wonder who they will fire after losing to the Ravens?

Prediction: Ravens 23, Dolphins 16
Comment: Keeping with the theme of one-score games this season, the Ravens squeak out another nail-biter in Miami. A big combo game from Buck Allen and Terrance West keys the win.

Prediction: Ravens 17, Dolphins 14
Comment: The Ravens remain on their Terrible Competition Tour, having played San Diego, then Jacksonville, St. Louis, Cleveland and now Miami. They had a rough schedule at the beginning of the season, but it doesn't get any better than playing these cream puffs. Even though the Ravens aren't that good, Miami is worse.

Alexander Pyles
Ravens Editor
Prediction: Ravens 26, Dolphins 20
Comment: The Ravens have a little momentum (they’ve won three of the past four games) and special teams that keep making big plays. The Dolphins have lost four of their past five games and have a crumbling coaching staff. I don’t feel great about picking either of these 4-7 teams, so I’ll go with the Ravens.

Prediction: Ravens 23, Dolphins 20
Comment: The Ravens finally are getting the ball to bounce their way and they've got a bunch of unheralded guys who showed in Cleveland that they've got something to prove. In this strange NFL season, 5-7 would seem almost respectable.

Prediction: Ravens 20, Dolphins 16
Comment: I can’t believe I keep picking the battered Ravens. But the Dolphins are another team poorly suited to attack them, with one of the league’s weaker defenses and an inefficient passing game. This feels like yet another Ravens game that will go down to the last possession.

Prediction: Dolphins 26, Ravens 20
Comment: The Ravens are obviously showing a lot more fight than the Dolphins these days, but the offensive coordinator change should provide a spark for Miami. No late-game miracles for the Ravens this week.
