San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, the former first overall pick in the draft, has been superb doing exactly what his coach, Jim Harbaugh has asked of him: limiting mistakes, spreading the ball around and handing off to Frank Gore. The Ravens need to stop Gore, get San Francisco into third-and-long situations, and force Smith to make tough decisions and throws.
